Polypolis - a mindset shifting board game

Polypolis takes as its object the city intended as a pool of resources that are unequally distributed among players at the start of the game. Its players explore the potential of the ‘in common’ administration of human, natural and physical resources by continually renegotiating attachments among themselves and with the materiality of the city’s various layers (built and un-built areas, human activities, vegetation, ventilation, and sunlight conditions that create the area’s microclimate). The structuring of the game discards fast track success in favor of breathless resources resetting through the continuous re-association of players. This is an intense embodied and emotional reflection on the current bleak city conditions in Athens and beyond.
